Among the last vestiges of Old Delhi is the bustling marketplace known as Chandani Chowk. Professor Hussein retells the history of its establishment by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who saw it as a necessity while planning the city of Delhi, which was to be the capital of the Mughal Empire.
