Mirza Ghalib

A short biography of the legendary poet Mirza Ghalib, who developed and matured the tradition of Urdu poetry. His was a universal mind, steeped in the Arabic, Persian and Turkish poetic traditions. In India, Ghalib found a way to weave them all together in Urdu.
